Baseline data collection: Mongo, Chad, June 2024

In June 2022, ZIZ Energie, a Chadian integrated power company, inaugurated a 2MW solar system in Mongo, Chad. P-RECs being issued from this project have been purchased, with revenue funding the installation of streetlights in two public areas: the Mongo Hospital and the Mongo Polytechnic University. In June 2024, 250 household surveys were collected in Mongo, serving as a baseline study for their planned streetlight project, as well as providing an post-implementation assessment of ZIZ’s electrification project. The survey is designed to measure changes in socio-economic conditions and peacefulness at community levels, using the Positive Peace framework.
